Just one look and I felt something
A raven-haired beauty from afar
One glance and already succumbing
To your beauty and your sweet charm
Overwhelmed by you so I said nothing
Infatuation with you felt a bit bizarre
You had my dormant heart jumping
You glittered like the brightest star
Concentrated for years on numbing
Lived my life as though in a jar
When it came to love there was no such thing
But like it or not you were now on my radar
Enchanted by your beauty
But I'm afraid to approach
You exceed any diamond or ruby
Into your sphere I dare not to encroach
Learning Spanish phrases, trying to impress
You find it somewhat charming
But my feelings I dare not profess
For you might find my feelings a bit disarming
Yearning for the youth I once possessed
But I'm too sick and too old
You brought out feelings so long suppressed
But these silly feelings I must withhold
New adventures and happiness await you
So, my silly feelings I'm discarding
When it comes to affections I can't construe
Let me just say, "Vaya con Dios my darling."
